I was in Austin, Texas over the weekend — invited as the keynote speaker for AFS IBEX, a national bank. The buzz in the audience, the energy from the “game-changers” in the room, overcame the desolate feeling that accompanied my favorite football team’s loss to the Denver Broncos.
Great audience, great people, great energy – GAME-CHANGERS!
Game-Changer
noun
Definition of GAME-CHANGER:
Difference-maker; agent of change; one who conceives, implements and modifies; a dynamic generator, exceptional, authentic, fresh; transformative, inspirational, compelling; presence, passion, performance; mastery of core competencies to power, becoming relevant and remarkable through enthusiasm, energy, and conviction; obsessed by purpose, resolute, resilient, vibrancy of rhythm; discipline, accountability, responsibility, result; listen to hear; do with energy; see opportunity, seize it, take the risk and change the game.
Game-changers establish their own expectations. They are unwilling to conform or attempt to imitate or accept the limiting expectations of average. They consistently “play-up” to their expectations and maintain the vigilance and discipline to constantly improve.
Go Steelers!
“Always Forward!”
