“The Wheelhouse”
Have you ever heard or used the statement, “It’s in my wheelhouse”? I define wheelhouse as “skillset; the ability to excel in a profession or perhaps a task.” Some may call this a person’s forte – an area where things feel and become so natural that you may even gain a glimpse of mastery. The Merriam-Webster definition of mastery is, ‘knowledge and skill that allows you to do, use, or understand something very well.”
The thirst for knowledge must be accompanied by the quest, the continual process of growth through applied learning. When we have a compelling curiosity and a willingness to put forth the effort to apply what our journey may reveal, we can begin the steps to mastery.
