Training Your Subconscious Mind for Success in 5 Easy Steps

We repress our subconscious mind and thoughts because we have become accustomed to it. Perhaps it’s the fear of being rejected; maybe it’s conflict avoidance; you feel inadequate, unsure. Whatever the case, our subconscious mind plays an important role in our lives.

Taking control of your subconscious mind can help you see things differently. It’s not easy controlling that aspect of our mind, but it’s not impossible either.

Here’s what you can do:

Keep Track of Your Targets

One of the best ways to train your mind is by keeping tabs of your targets and achievements. Make a weekly planner. Because if you write down all you have to achieve by the end of the week, you’ll get a better overview.

Also, make reports of everything that has been taken care of. Email your boss weekly reports so you have a track record.

This will help you visualize success so you don’t fall into a routine. Visualize where you want to be by the end of the week.

Keeping track of achievements and goals will give you something tangible to work toward.

Practice Positivity

You know how the experts say that a negative mind will make you stagnant? Well, it can’t get any truer than this!

Negative thinking limits us. If you let your mind become accustomed to negativity, you’ll always miss your chance to pitch in great ideas.

You will always tell yourself you’re not good enough and to let opportunities pass. The best solution is to surround yourself with positive people.

Positive people emit positive energy. So when you hang out with such people, you’ll be able to transform your way of thinking!

Use Flash Cards

Design flash cards with hypothetical scenarios. For example:


These will serve as reminders when you subconsciously try to sabotage yourself.

Identify Negative Thinking Patterns

Identify negative thoughts and try to make a conscious effort to stop them.

The next time you have a negative thought, think, “This isn’t in line with my vision” or “This way of thinking won’t help me succeed.”

Regularly reminding yourself that you have what it takes to succeed will gradually transform your way of thinking.

Identify and Embrace Fear

Fear doesn’t have to bean inhibitor. Identifying what scares you to take riskscan help you get a better understanding of what you can do.

For example: Being afraid of voicing your ideas and opinions because you’re scared of being rejected. Ask yourself: what’s the worst that could happen? You’re not getting fired for a bad pitch!

If it’s rejected, you can utilize it in another project. Remember that nobody is perfect and that unless you take risks you’ll never be able to reach anywhere.

When you plan everything, it’s hard to go with routine. Gradually making these changes can help you gain more control over your life and gain new perspectives.
