Everybody Sells

It doesn’t matter what business you’re in, someone has to create, sell, and service the product. People have to manage the process and deliver the product, generate the profit, and protect those margins every day—we’re all in sales. No payroll is met unless something is first sold. Each day, in every facet of our life we convince, sell, and enroll people to our point of view. We negotiate and live in a world of compromise solutions. Where are we going to dinner? What movie do you want to see? Who’s taking the kids to school today? Who has the kids this weekend? Who can help me? Who can I help? Why should I help? Why would you help? How can I help?

Each day, in every facet of our life we convince, sell, and enroll people to our point of view.

Everything involves selling. You don’t get something in life without giving something up. It’s the rule of trade-off. We sell ourselves every day, from the way we dress, to what we say, what we do, and how we do it.
